MLR is now offering testing and diagnostic services for your BMW E46 M3 SMG II hydraulic system. We have the ability to test the proportional pressure control valves, directional control valves, pressure relief valve, accumulator pressure, pressure leak down and motor performance. Our testing and diagnostic services will be carried out by trained technicians who have worked on these systems before.
Typically a SMG II pump operating outside of it's design specifications will result in:
- The vehicle not being able to shift into or out of gear.
- The shift adaptation sequence failing.
- The clutch adaptation sequence failing.
- The computer producing fault codes related to the selector angle.
- Overheating of motor.
- On time errors.
During our testing and diagnostic procedure we will test for:
- Leaks across the solenoid and o-rings
- Hydraulic block performance
- Sensor performance
- Harness continuity test
- Full pump functional test
