Over time, the hydraulic pump can wear out or become damaged. We know this will lead to reduced performance or failure of the Mitsubishi ACD/AYC system. The inner pump plate helps seperate the aluminum and steel elements in the pump as well as produce pressure. The OEM design typically fails due to galvanic corrosion from road salts or water ingress. We recommend frequent service of pump units every two years or 60K miles.
