P0897 Transmission Fluid Condition Deterioration

This PDK transmission system is equipped with temperature monitoring and if TCU determines fluid has gone through thermal stress, code will be logged.  When this code is present, an MTF oil change is required despite mileage requirement not met.

P0218 Maximum transmission oil temperature exceeded

If the MTF temperature continues to rise despite the cooling function and exceeds 180°C for more than 30 seconds, code will be logged.  Yellow transmission symbol will illuminate and limited driving function will be applied.
