Alfa 4C clutch slave 55230619

The Alfa 4C TCT gearbox system uses two separate clutch slave cylinders to independently actuate the two clutch discs.

  • K1 (Clutch 1):
The K1 clutch slave cylinder is mounted inside the bellhousing. It bolts directly to the bellhousing and acts directly on the clutch assembly.

  • K2 (Clutch 2):
The K2 clutch slave assembly consists of multiple components and is mounted at the rear of the transmission housing. It connects to a shaft that runs through the transmission via the hollow input shaft and is secured to a flanged release bearing, which interfaces with the clutch assembly.

For the K2 clutch slave, a precise preload must be set to ensure proper clutch engagement. Once the preload is correctly adjusted, a locking sleeve must be installed to prevent the retaining nut from loosening over time.

Note: each clutch slave is monitored for position by position sensor
K1 - Position sensor located on actuator Valve-body
K2 - Position sensor is mounted on clutch slave.
